Hi! I'm Julie, owner and designer at Julie Hanan Design. I am so excited to be able to share my love for good design and unique paper goods with you!

I graduated from the University of Illinois in 2007 with my degree in Industrial Design (also known as product design). After college, I worked as an Interior Designer for a large furniture retailer for 2 years.

Two of my best friends were getting married in 2009 and 2010 and I offered to design their wedding invitations. Soon after, I started receiving many calls from other brides who saw my invitations and asked if I could design theirs too. I realized how much I really enjoyed working one on one with them to create an invitation that matches their vision for their wedding day. It seemed only appropriate to turn my hobby into a business, so Julie Hanan Design was born in 2009. Since then, I have worked with hundreds of brides to help make their vision come to life.

When I'm not busy designing, I love traveling to exotic places, finding new restaurants, drinking good wine, looking at good design, and hanging out with my friends. I recently moved to a new home in the suburbs of Chicago with my rescue dog, Monty.
