Weddings can be very expensive especially for all the little details of a wedding. That's why I wanted to share with you a few DIY projects to save, save, save for your big day. Also, DIY projects are a great way to get your maid of honor or bridesmaids together! These DIY projects can really make your wedding stand out and I hope these give you a little inspiration!

++ I saw this idea and thought it was so unique! The guestbook is a keepsake and I just love the idea of hanging it on the wall to cherish the memories. You just have your guests put their fingerprint and sign next to it allowing for a beautiful colorful tree!

Project items:

  • 16 x 20 print out of a tree with names included
  • 16 x 20 Frame
  • Finger Paint
  • A sign to with the instructions

++ Another guestbook idea I thought would be super easy for a bride to do is buying a globe and having everyone sign around the globe. Perfect for the world traveling couple or a destination wedding!

Project items:

  • Globe of the world with stand
  • Colorful Sharpies

++ One last DIY guestbook that I saw was this paper chain of love! I loved this because it can be a holiday decoration. Just have everyone sign a little note to you on a strip of paper and have them connect it to the last person who signed. You could then use it around a mantle or around your tree during the holidays.

Project items:

  • Paper
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Staplers or permanent glue dots

++ I've seen so many great DIY projects and I just love this one! There's so many different signs you can make out of wood, but this one seems a little easier. It's as easy as buying a long chalkboard and writing the events of your love. I think it's a great symbol of love for all your guests to see! You can also buy chalk markers now online that make chalk writing a million times better.

Project items:

  • Long Chalk board
  • Chalk Markers

++ I've been searching for a great little saying for the big day and saw this one on ETSY. It's such a cute little saying that sums up the love between you two. Just stencil out all the letters and string them through with twine or ribbon! Perfect for the gift or dessert table!

Project items:

  • Letter Stencils
  • Pencils
  • Scissors
  • Twine
  • Hole punch

++ Now for the real projects! Up-cycling of bottles is a great DIY project use! I love these DIY glitter glasses! The thing with glitter is it gets everywhere so make sure to do this project outside. You take adhesive glue and spray the inside of whatever glass bottle you want. Champagne bottles, mason jars, even baby bottles, etc. Then pour the glitter inside and shake it around until the glued areas are covered. Glitter can really make items pop!

Project items:

  • Glitter!
  • Adhesive spray glue
  • Glass bottle of your choice

++ If you're not a glitter bride here's a great idea for spray paint. Get old tin cans and spray them with gold spray paint. They can be used as flower vases for wedding decorations!

Project items:

  • Tin cans
  • Gold spray paint or your wedding colors

++ Mason jars all over pinterest and perfect for a more casual, intimate wedding. Here's an idea for using them as candle holders that you can hang around the ceremony and reception. You can tie twine around the top of the jar and secure it with a glue gun. Make sure to test the jar before displaying lit candles in them.

Project items:

  • Mason Jars
  • Think twine
  • Glue gun
  • Candles

++ Using old wine bottle is such a cute way to display candles. Your very own candle holder in a bottle you and your hubby to be has shared. All you need is candle sticks and wine!

Project items:

  • Long Candles to burn all night
  • Wine bottles

++ Honestly these are the cutest aisle decorations I've seen! All you need are some ribbon glued to doilies that you make into a cone shape, add baby's breath or another light flower and you get these!

Project item:

  • Doilies
  • Thick ribbon
  • Glue gun
  • Flowers

++ I always thought it was essential to do something with your bouquet. This is the most creative idea I've seen. Dry the flowers out and then crumble into a clear ornament piece and then add the cork from the wine you drank at the wedding and you got this great DIY keepsake!

Project items:

  • Wedding bouquet
  • Clear Ornament
  • Wedding Cork

++ Last, but not least a great DIY something blue!

  • Wedding shoes
  • Blue glitter
  • Gloss glue
  • Paint Brush
