+ Name 5 fun facts about yourself

  • I enjoy Michael Jackson!
  • I can do a great Gangsters Paradise on Karaoke.
  • I can speak Italian.

  • + If you were to get married, which of the JHD custom wedding invitations would you choose?

JH: I love them all, it's hard to choose just one! Each design has a special place in my heart, but if I have to choose 1, Iwould say I like the modern calligraphy style the best because I'm drawn to more modern looks.

+ What is your favorite things to do on your days off?

JH: On my days off, I enjoy going out for good meals, trying new restaurants or shopping. I also enjoy wine and beer tastings with my friends!

+ If you won the lottery what would you spend your money on?

JH: A trip around the world to experience life and other cultures!

+ If you could only eat 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be

JH: Tapas because there's so many choices, stir fry or sushi and roasted potatoes

+ If you could meet any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?

JH: Definitely Michael Jackson... he is awesome

+ What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?

JH: Italy and Morocco. I lived in Italy in college and was able to travel to many places nearby. The difference in cultures amazes me and I loved just sitting in the piazza and sipping on a cappuccino! I also love Morocco because of the food, people and culture. It is so different from the US and everyone I met there treated me like a queen.

+ If given a choice, what animal would you be?

JH: I would be a chinchilla because they've got the life. They just sleep, eat and be warm. What could be bad about that?

+ If you were to stay a certain age, what would it be?

JH: 25 because you’re done with school and you’re mature enough to do things on your own. Your parents aren't telling you what do anymore, but you're still young enough to go out and have fun with your friends.

+ What do you miss about being a kid?

JH: I loved building forts in the basement and performing plays with my friends. We would go to the store and convince my mom to buy us extra large Kit Kat bars for a play we were doing. She always let us too.. :)

+What is the next planned event you look forward to in your life?

JH: I recently bought a new house and completely renovated it so I am planning to have a party in the coming months. Also can't wait to use my pool!

+ If you had to design one proof of the same invitation over and over what would it be?

JH: I really enjoy designing the preppy chic or bold striped modern because they’re clean, simple and modern!

+ What invitation would you re-do if given the chance?

JH: Probably the Sophisticated damask border because it’s probably my least popular design. I would try to show it in a different format or color, with different embellishments.

ST: Tahiti for my honeymoon because it was so picturesque, it looked fake. We were on a cruise to the Tahitian island so we weren’t just stuck in one place. The locals were just so inviting and nice. We got to get off during the day, so cruise at night, dock and then get off and go on the island and then come back at a certain time like at dinner. We did snorkeling, swim with sharks, we did this cool float called the aquarium where you could look down with a mask and see the exotic fishes and coral.

+ What is your most favorite place in the world, local or anywhere in the world?

ST: Tahiti, but enough on Tahiti. I love the outdoors and the Mountains. Seattle is breathtaking, gorgeous, the mountains are huge. Mount Rainier is Beautiful. that was the first time i got to smell mountain fresh, like it smelled like someone was doing laundry.

+What do you miss about being a kid?

AJ: I miss being in Indiana because it was different. My friends were a little different and closer. I got to be a little freer when I was younger where I could experience more things. I could go to carnivals and in Indiana they were ten times different because I knew the whole town. It’s a lot more fun when you know everybody!

+ What is a dream aspiration for your life?

AJ: Being somewhere in California where I could own my own design shop for t-shirts and skateboards. My own little hippie shop on the west coast.

    MICHAEL GRAY, Production Designer

+ If you won the lottery what would you spend your money on?

MG: You know I wouldn't be extravagant because I’m older. Everything new though like a house, car, update everything. I love geeky things: the best mac, best entertainment system, top of the line things. I would get all the cars I would ever want. You know....classic cars like the Grand National.

+ Who or what inspires you?

MG: People younger than me who are successful are the most inspiring. Photography I also get a kick out of like still life photos, people caught in action, unexpected photos.

+ If you could only eat 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

MG: Pizza, Cuties, endless supplies of fresh ones would be amazing, and top of the line burgers, ones with bacon and blue cheese.

+If you could meet any person in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?

MG: I'm thinking of some of my favorite authors. Honestly, I’d want to meet someone who really is interesting to me. I would want to meet Lewis Carroll who is the author of Alice in Wonderland, through the looking glass and other poetry. I have read all of his books and his poetry. I have then reread his stuff and I have pictured him in my mind who he’d be and what he would be like. Then I started reading about him and I think that person would be the most interesting to me. I feel that he's a genius and I would love to know the thought process behind his writing.

+ If you were a crayon, what color would you be?

MG: Gray because it’s my last name!

+ What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on?

MG: I’ve been on some good ones. I went on a Bud Light cruise where everyone on the boat won their trip. No one bought a ticket. We went to Bahamas, Nassau and a private island where Dave Matthews played. It was all free from noon on, but as soon as noon started it was nonstop. The beach was clean and beautiful and by the end, it was a mess with all the Bud Light bottles. It was great. Everyone won a plus one so everyone was in a pair. We met a lot of great people and saw actually another person we knew.

+ What is your most favorite place in the world, local or anywhere in the world?

MG:  Honestly tropical places because if I lived there it would be home and I would want to get away, but living in Illinois it’s paradise, like Mexico or the Caribbean. Easy living, palm trees and beach. Jamaica was fun, they don’t take anything seriously in life. It runs on your own time. Just less worries and stress.

+ If given a choice, what animal would you be?

MG:  A wolf, it would be cool to be a pack animal with a family you always had with you. They’re vicious, but still a dog.

+ If you were to stay a certain again, what would it be?

MG:  24 was pretty descent because when I was 24 I felt like everyone was rich. I just packed up with money I had saved up and moved to Florida and got a job. It was just easier. I was a lot healthier.

+ What do you miss about being a kid?

MG: I guess just how everything was like a first experience. Now you get old and bitter and you don't care. It was just the greatest thing ever to try something new.

+ What is the next planned event you look forward to in your life?

MG: Graduating college finally! That is the next immediate thing that is going to happen.

+ If you had to design one proof of the same invitation over and over what would it be?

MG:  I really have a lot of favorites like sweeping script, but I love the modern calligraphy the best. I’ve seen a lot of awesome color schemes for that one.

We got to go on four wheelers, eat good food, I tried Octopus and liked it, went to a lot of different beaches. They just have the clearest water there that you can see 80 feet down. It’s not like anywhere I have ever been and I had such a great time with my family.

+ What is your most favorite place in the world, local or anywhere in the world?

+ What do you miss about being a kid?

KK: The not worrying about the future. I was just so carefree when I was younger. We used to go out on the canoe in my backyard and canoe down to a convenient store and load up on chips and candy. It was just fun to be able to do that with my friends. It was just so carefree.

+ What is the next planned event you look forward to in your life?

KK: Going home to Florida to visit my family. I’m going to my sister’s baby shower and going to my lake house. I’m just excited to see my family and friends.
